Andrea and Jake‘s Kenwood Country Club Wedding in Bethesda, Maryland was amazing! It was a gorgeous day for a gorgeous wedding, and every last detail of the day was perfection!
Andrea spend the morning surrounded by her best girlfriends in her parents’ home. Family and friends flew in from Chile to be there for this moment, and the home overflowed with love as they arrived. There was a calm in the air as she made preparations to meet her groom, and Andrea was absolutely stunning in her bridal gown and accessories. The pastels in her florals matched Andrea’s personality perfectly…soft and sweet. Her mother, sister, and best girl friends helped Andrea dress for the day, and they made certain she knew she was important, loved, and they cherished every moment together.
Jake spent his morning preparing in the home of his parents, not too far away from where Andrea was. He, too, was calm about the step he was preparing to take by making Andrea his wife. He had fallen in love with Andrea long before this day, and he was eager to meet his bride at the altar.
On the arm of her father in The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Andrea walked towards Jake with a smile on her face and joy in her heart. Jake had to wipe a tear from his face as he saw Andrea come towards him, and he welcomed his bride to his side with an outstretched hand. The couple left the cathedral through a sea of bubbles and make their way to McCrillis Gardens for portraits. It. Was. Gorgeous. The grounds were immaculate, and the gardens provide the perfect backdrop for couples portraits.
The rest of the evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and the enjoyment of relationships…old friends, new friends, family from near and far danced into the night, and they surrounded Andrea and Jake with love as they did.
Andrea and Jake,
Thank you both so much for welcoming me into your lives and your wedding day! It was so nice to have met you both before hand at Liza and Alex’s wedding, but spending more time with you and getting to know your soft, sweet spirits was such a pleasure for me. I am so grateful for the opportunity to walk beside the two of your during this time in your lives, and it is my genuine hope that you cherish these images for years to come. Best wishes, and Happy Hawaii Honeymoon! Much love and appreciation, M 🙂
Ok! Enough of the mushy stuff! Let’s move on to this beautiful wedding day!
Check out those florals! Blossom and Basket outdid themselves! Gorgeous.
Andrea’s details accented her natural beauty wonderfully. Take a look!
I love some good girlfriend time! I know how special my best girlfriends are to me, so this time for Andrea and her brides is priceless.
How sweet is this!?! Andrea’s Chilean family, especially this sweet little lady, was so excited to be there for these special moments!
I seriously have no words for this next series of images. Seriously. Andrea made a beautiful bride.
One of my absolute favs from the day.
Remember how I mentioned McCrillis Gardens and how perfect a backdrop it was for couples portraits? See for yourself!
Another fav! But, for real, I have a LOT of those!
Since Andrea did not have a formal bridal portrait session, we took a few moments at the gardens to capture her in all her bridal glory! So glad we did.
Our last stop was Kenwood Country Club where we spent some time with the bridal party and made our way into the reception. Get a load of these lovely ladies!
This cake by The Happy Tart and this cake topper were a wonderful addition to Andrea and Jake’s day. I think the cake topper resembles the couple nicely!
Andrea and Jake chose to perform a choreographed dance for their first dance, and it was so, so sweet! Loved the time and effort they put into making this dance special and completely theirs!
Because family and friends were so special to the couple and had traveled from near and far to celebrate with them, they requested a group shot of the guests! These people were fantastic and were such a joy to spend the evening with! A wonderful wedding all the way around!
Congratulations, Andrea and Jake, and Happy Wednesday, friends!
M xoxo
