As a Virginia wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to work at a variety of gorgeous venues. However, I’ve been eyeing the luxurious Virginia House for years and had never shot a wedding there. So, about a month and a half ago, I approached Molly about whether or not she and Alex (at that time, dating) would be interested in participating in a branding session for my business at this gorgeous house. She was immediately ALL IN. She may or may not have hinted that I should encourage Alex to take the opportunity to actually propose so it could be a real engagement shoot. đŸ™‚ Little did we know, Alex did not need any encouragement from anyone–he had been planning his proposal for months, and he was well on his way to making Molly his wife. A week before the shoot, I woke up to find an engagement announcement on social media. I couldn’t be happier for the two of them to plan their Virginia wedding!
This past Friday, the officially engaged couple met me at the Virginia House for an engagement shoot. Everything about Molly’s engagement look was classic, elegant, feminine and sweet-just like her. Alex was at ease in his dark blue suit, and they both looked magical in front of the camera. Not only did their love for each other shine through in these photos, but also in the way they loved each other in their interactions. They were college sweethearts at Virginia Tech, and they are well on their way to planning a Virginia wedding of their dreams and then onto a joyous marriage for years to come.
Congratulations, Molly and Alex! and happy wedding planning! xo
