I had met Amanda a few times before. She is friends with some of my amazing past brides, Liza and Stephanie, as well as one of my repeat bridesmaids, Caitlyn. So, when she asked me to travel to Louisiana for her Prud’homme-Rouquier House wedding day, of course I was all in! She shared with me Natchitoches was the same town Steel Mangnolia’s was filmed in, so I knew immediately there would be a lot of southern charm, and I was right. Natchitoches, La, is probably not somewhere I would have traveled otherwise, but that’s one of the perks of destination wedding photography! I’m SO glad I got to visit for Amanda and Matthew’s wedding. The general store is right out of a Nicholas Sparks novel, as are the quaint, little shops that line the main street. Not only was the town super sweet to visit, it’s also a bonus to see former brides and bridesmaids at weddings! If you look closely, you’ll probably recognize them!
Amanda and Matthew, thank you so much. I had such a great time during your wedding weekend, and the food was AMAZING! I so enjoyed seeing the two of you interact and share this special day with those folks that clearly love and support you along your way. I wish you two nothing but the best! M 🙂
Now…. let’s get to the really gooooood stuff! If an armadillo cake, navy, pink, and southern charm are your think, you will LOVE this one!
Happy Monday, friends!
M xoxo
